If you are a member of NAPP you can get a discount, it sure helped. When B&H discount codes were being posted, Fred stepped in and stopped the practice of posting discount codes on the site.

Your upgrade requires a serial number from the previous version to install. The serial numbers are platform specific, the cross platform upgrade you ordered will not install or activate.

Dan,

You can call adobe and convert your CS3 Windows to CS3 for Mac. They have a process, and it's free. You basically surrender your CS3 Windows license and get a license for CS3 Mac. Then you can upgrade from CS3 Mac to CS4 Mac. I did the same thing moving from CS2 to CS3.

Just got off the phone with Adobe and unfortunately if I want the Mac version I have to surrender the Windows version becuase it was registered to windows so if you run 2 platforms you need to buy both versions.

The price for the CS4 upgrade (before and after) the discount is exactly the same as what I paid for the CS3 upgrade when it came out. Looks like adobe has an annuity going with us as the payors.
