I agree, maybe not all the background but certainly the guys in the audience. Should work well in B&W or toned yellow/orange.
Thank you for your compliments. I will try and see what I can do, in post processing. As you can see, it's a tad noisy, but when I shoot ISO800, unless I plan to print larger than 4X6, I don't use any NR. It's not for lack of wanting to, it's that I only have the NR in DPP and in CS2, so it is what it is.
thank you! The mic is something I actually wanted to remove. In another version, I cropped it out. This was the "beta" test for the print version. I'm going to play around with the lasso tool for darkening the background a little bit, and then clone the mic out.
I'm never impressed by my "work", but I am becoming at least "pleased" with some of it. This happened to be one that I really liked.

This one might benefit from a smidgin less contrast, so
the sax isn't quite so bright. And +1 to what trenchmonkey said.
