The lens is hard to hide, too

The reason I asked is because I'm from Melbourne and wondered if it was being held close to home.
My interest in the 500mm is not so much for what I want to shoot in Sweden, it's more for when I finally get to escape back to home. There I plan to shoot bikes and maybe V8's at Philip Island, plus surfing, windsurfing and kiteboarding. I would like to use it for the F1, but they don't like lenses bigger than 300mm at it.
Even though I don't really know when I will move back (here for at least another 12 months) I figure that the big L glass will never get cheaper and used lenses hold their value quite well. So I might as well buying when I have a chance to buy from a cheaper country than Sweden or Australia. Swedish customs are so easy (never been stopped and asked to pay for my purchases) unlike the Aussies who always grill me about my expensive cameras and stuff when just on a holiday visit.
