Just got my 5D II kit and an additional battery from Shutterbug, OR. They have a few bodies and kits. You may want to call around to see if some preorders have been cancelled or not pick-up if interested.

FYI, I stopped by Penn Camera in DC today, and they told me the warehouse has 20 kits (no body-only yet). All but 4 are pre-purchased. They should be making their way to the stores this week.
I called my major e-tailer and they said they got 6 bodies in from Canon and don't expect any more for a week.
Still waiting...
I can only console myself with the thought that "hey, I don't want the first ones off the line anyway"
My local camera shop says they are arriving this week. Amazon only got a token shipment from Canon so far and have no idea when more will arrive. It's in Canon's hands.

I ordered on 9/23 from adorama... Here's hoping for my ship notification soon!
