I tried my luck with shooting in the city. Overcoming the shyness and just start shooting was a big step for me, but I ended up having a ton of fun. 350 frames fired in 2½ hours, 68 keepers. Not bad, by my standards anyway
I picked out 7 of them and I'm hoping for some c&c or just pointers on how to improve
Wonderful shots! My immediate favorites were 1, 3, and 7 but the more I looked I was pulled into each picture in a different and interesting way. Thanks for sharing, it has inspired me to get out and do some "street" shooting.
Regarding the cell phones: They're a part of our lives, for some more than others. I could'nt help noticing so many people walking around in their own little world, entirely focused on their phones.
I like all the shots quite a bit! I need to get a 300mm or 400mm lens to walk around with and shoot from a far. Not exactly discrete but its nice to be able to capture moments from far away!

love the bw conversions!
No need for such long glass, imho - All of these were shot with a 135mm and I had no need for cropping
Lugging around a 300mm or 400mm is also hard to do unnoticed... My next outing will be with an 85mm instead. Just for the hell of it, to force myself to get closer. Next step will be my 50mm
Nice shots, 1 and 3 work for me. I agree that 300 is a bit long, even for me although 180 is nice. 135 is sweet, but 85 and 50 have their own looks as well.
