Good idea Danny. I'm wondering if a plainer background and more lighting at front might improve it.

Voigtlanders are wonderful machines. I have a few myself. Goes well with Leica lenses.

Hi Danny,

Beautiful old rangefinder. I really like you B & W conversion as well. A very nice entry. I have a friend who recently got me interesting in shooting rangefinders and the experience is quite enjoyable. Good luck this week,

Steve S.

The side light emphasizes the texture of the leather and of the concrete background. I think the choice of background is creative and effective.

Bill, thank you for taking the time to comment and for taking enough interest in my post to offer your thoughts! I am pretty happy with the shadow play as this was intentional. I shot a few a different exposures using flash and a refector and thought this particular shot offered the most visual appeal!

Kaden & Steve, Thank you for the post, old cameras are alot of fun ! However the keeper rate is MUCH lower (for me anyways)

VipeMike, Thank you for the compliment and support (means ALOT comming from you) Always enjoy your vision.

Photon, Spot on! That is what I was going for. Thank you for posting and for taking interest in my entry!

Love the conversion, but I'm thinking the background's a bit too complicated and textured. However, many old photos were shot with this kind of background and it kind of adds drama to the aging efffect.

A good entry,
Chad
