Just a question about 1DsII.
I have bought a used one in march with 3160 actuations.
I had before a 300D and never seen that.
I don't talk here about dust, I have none.
So : When I bought the 1DsII, there was some little black rounds specks (around 15/20pixels), I guess some grease. Electrostatic brush don't remove them, only eclipse+sensor swab.
So after 3160 actuations, it needed a wet cleaning. Now, after around 1000 actuations more, doing some macros at f/16, I saw them again. I have no problems cleaning them, just done it again yesterday and got back a perfectly clean sensor. So now, the question :
I guess this grease come from the low actuations shutter (sort of running in ?), heard about that about some 5Ds, but never about 1 series ? Is it usual, and would it stop after more actuations, let's say no more grease after 10 000 actuations ?
Once more, there is no real problems, it isn't hard to clean and rarely seen (really for f/11 f/16 and boosted shots in raw), but will I have to allways deal with this or will this stop after some more actuations ?
I must say I tested wide aperture burst to detect any white/black zone indicating shutter problem and have seen none, shutter just seems fine (hey, after 4200 actuations, this sounds normal !!)
