p.1 #1 · Our mini war C&C appreciated.

An army buddy got 10 days leave before beginning his tour in Iraq. He likes playing airsoft so we organized a little game. Playing with the settings I found I liked the results with high contrast black and white photos. Tell me what you guys think.

The high contrast B&W is perfect for the subject matter. Gives you the impression of heightened sensitivity and awareness.

Black and white is good for these.

4,5 seems like it has too much above and should be cropped off top.
1 could be pointing at the camera.

All very nice.

I agree, BW is the choice.
All have a dynamism to them, fitting with the subject.
I prefer 2 over 3 because there is more space in front of the weapon.
I like the angle/tilt chosen in 4 and 5.
5 is really well-done. The bright areas make the image busy, and emphasize how camouflaging is at work.

Thank you everyone for the comments

I'm always a bit nervous posting here because some of the best photographers I've come across post here. Lets just say some of the work I see here is a bit, well, intimidating. You guys liking them means a lot to me, as goofy as that sounds.
