p.1 #1 · New Website Test

Being slightly lazy, and poor I've been using Jalbum to create a photo website. It seems to work fairly well, I am trying a new design let me know what you think

this is the Original, the one i've been using in the past

www.sattmann.org/ESPhotography

And this is the new one:

www.sattmann.org/ESPhotography/ESPhotography

I'm not sure about the new one, the tilty thing can be a little distracting but I've had a mixed review from my friends, half love it, half prefer the older simpler less flashy one. And comments are appreciated

Cheers,

Eli

I like the menu layout. Nice photos, but I do feel that the movement distracts from actually enjoying the photos.

I get an unnecessary scroll bar on the menu side. Once loaded, I too think the movement/flashiness (not referring to the use of flash, but the movement) takes away from the experience. Makes me a bit dizzy too :|

Cheers,
Thomas

Tiltviewer is an awesome little gallery, but it's best used in small doses for specific things. I wouldn't go for it personally for a portfolio. I also get the scroll bar in the horizontal access on the left frame. Would you be able to acheive this without frames? I'd recommend using an iFrame as a better way of loading new galleries while keeping the menu the same.

Nice pics though!

I like the older one... but your red font, at least to my eyes, doesn't seem very crisp.

I prefer the original - the movement in the second competes with the images and my experience with that general paradigm suggests after the novelty wears off, all the eye-candy becomes a substantial annoyance and dis-incentive for viewing.
