I have had 2 of 4 submissions have "issues". They say forgot to send UPC etc. I tell them I can fax a copy of my submission that cleary show UPC taped on form. They then say, no problem we will release them.
Last time the rebate was a check good only at the place I bought the Sandisk cards themselves. No real problem, as I can find things to buy there, but be aware.

One of the worst out there for rebate processing. It's why I no longer buy Sandisk cards.
Ditto. A couple real problems trying to get checks. This latest with a Visa cash card, the card got declined a couple times, then when it went to less than $10 left they simply made it invalid. Sandisk has lost my business for good.
I bought 2 16 gig extreme 3 sandisk cards and got the $200 rebate visa card with no problem. I was surprised that it arrived much sooner than I expected.

I bought two Sandisk cards and got a post card saying I didn't submit the UPC codes. Luckily I had photocopies of everything I sent in. I called them and they said there's a mistake, and then the person on the phone acts as if she would check my file and says, "oh sorry, your rebate will be processed immedeately".
Everybody who doesn't call them doesn't get the rebate... In my opinion this is attempted fraud. So don't count on the rebate...
This is exactly what happened to me with my recent $120 rebate. I sent in all the documentation including the UPC codes and they said that I did not. I had to call several times and finally got a "supervisor". She made it sound like she was doing me a favor by taking my word for it that I had sent the codes and she would process my rebate anyway. Thanks. Of course I had copies of everything. They did eventually send my VISA card.
I completely agree that they play games with you and unless you stay on top of it, you won't get your rebate.
What a hassle and what a scam. I have to jump through hoops to even get the rebate at all. Meanwhile, they get free use of my $120 for months.
Love the product but hate the rebate scam. Next time I'm seriously going to consider purchasing another product that doesn't put me through the rebate scam game - if there are any.
I bought two 4 GB cards under the latest rebate terms. Had all my ducks in a row, but knowing all the problems, I took a picture. Low and behold....... a post card saying I forgot the UPC. Made a phone and they said I did not include them, but with out me saying a word, they tell me they will process the rebate and it should be here is a few weeks. I really do think it is a bit of a scam. Seems kind of scammy to me.
I have never recieved a rebate back from any company all scams far as I am concerned, just consider the price your paying as the price it will ultimately be as 95 percent of the public never recieves thier rebate check.
Companies use mail in rebates because lagre % of purchasers never send them in. I've never had a problem with Sandisk rebates but I buy their cards because they work great and not because of the rebates.

In January 2007, my friend noticed a $50 rebate for 8gb Extreme III CF cards at CompUSA so we each bought 1. We both mailed the rebates at the same time at the same post office and only 1 rebate was mailed back. When checking online about the lost rebate, the website said 'not found'.
Overall, I think I myself have a 50% success record of actually getting rebates. Rebates are very inticing. Just don't bet your life on them.
