Personally, I prefer the first crop. Lots of people say that they prefer aircraft pictures with space for the aircraft to 'fly into' a la crop 2, but in reality, I think this rarely works. Here the pano shape of the crop shows the direction of travel and without significant background interest, (treeline, broken clouds) there is little to give context to the speed when a shot is cropped like crop 2 IMHO. I really like the shot and my vote is fully behind crop 1. As an in between I'd say go for a slightly tighter crop like crop 2, but framed like crop 1. That'd be the best of both worlds in my view.

I prefer the second, but might take a tad off the right. Seems unnecessarilly wide.
I like the more pano format of the first. But the placement of the jet seems to emphasize that it has passed by.

I like framing of 2nd best. Slightly bluer in 1 is better.

Maybe as Scott says crop a bit off the right and more blue in the sky would be better on 2.
