we had a spare handle when we re-did our kitchen. its kind of a small, spiraled, wrought-iron thing... i thought it would be a good test for the stacked 50mm on my 28-80. the only downside is that i have to have the subject about 1.5 inches from the lens.
edit:: heres another one i got. had a slightly rusted bic lyin around
I like #1 quite a bit. My uninformed 0.02 In #1, if you are skilled at painting in PS ( I am not), you might try darkening the lower RH white corner and see how it looks. THat corner pull my eye a bit much. Love the colors in #2, but the shot doesn't fee as cohesive as #1. -amy
i try not to do any specific painting or healing/cloning/etc... just full image effects. i like photoshop ok, but dont wanna rely on it to get a good finished product. also, i thought the light in the corner added a bit of balance to the light spot on the opposite of the frame.
the problem i had with the second shot was the focus line. when i looked at it, i thought that it added a little bit of balance by being at an inverse angle to the actual lighter, but the more i look at it, it jyust seems distracting.
sorry if i seem defensive about these; i assure you im not going to be offended by the comments, but i do want to discuss criticism so that i understand where and how i can do better
