p.1 #1 · reflective floor

I'm not sure I'm posting this in the right forum but I'm looking for information or other threads that explains how a reflective studio floor is done. For example the floor in these pictures

Sorry if this has already been discussed.

These look like a seamless background and good lighting. A sheet of Plexiglas can be laid down to enhance the look.

The term reflective floor is confusing to me.....if what you want is a white floor the easiest way is to use a roll of white background paper. The real trick is lighting the background so it goes close to white but does not blast back too strongly. Typically a light or two from sides or above just on BG then light subject to suit. Strip soft boxes on each side are good for BG.

Shooting manually and using a flash meter makes a lot of sense in this kind of setting; the white BG will screw up in camera metering/exposure control.

This help, or too cryptic?

that thread you posted starts with

"first attempt with a white seamless background. way harder than anticipated."

That pretty much says how they did it ... a roll of white seamless paper or cloth.
