That's some gorgeous work in post, Chad. Love the deep rich colors and the feather details are sublime. Some of the best I've seen of this species.

The low angle really made a difference

Wonderful photos, Chad! The extreme sharpness of the pictures brings out detail that would otherwise be lost. The color is also brilliant.

Yep, the pelican never looked over at Ant, but if he did.. you can bet there would have been a big bump starting to form.

I noted in your EXIF that thse were at 700mm so is this the 500mm + 1.4x on the dMkIII? Also can you please help me with another querry, does the 500mm +1.4x auto foucus when used on the 30D?

Yes it does Mohammad. Since 500mm has a lager max aperture than f5.6 the AF will work on a crop body too.

Yep, the 500mm with the 1.4x on the Mark III. Jude already commented on the focus, and yes it works but not as fast as with a 1D series camera.
