I really like the image. The DOF is much deeper than I would expect for this type of image and lens used. You must have had the lens stopped way down to be able to show the entire web in focus.

Very surreal or sci-fi. Beautiful capture. Definitely a mood of impending danger. Absolutely love it !!! The web seems almost alive, like a trap that is ready to spring.

the lens is an f8 only aperture BTW

this is a great shot and this lens gets little respect but is a good performer , I like mine

Hi Bill,

I think about 5m, I first tried to catch the nets with my 100mm Macro but couldnīt get the composition I wanted. Only with the 500mm the compression came out I had in front of my eyes.

Yeah I'll have to agree on the number of webs being a little high per unit area versus what I've ever seen...Would be cool to come across that at some point however. I really do like this photo, the darker lighting is excellent in my opinion.
