Well, enlightenment was not the issue, levels of appropriateness was more of the issue. And yes, I believe that the average norwegian is far more value liberal and atheistically inclined to take sexually charged jokes better than the average texan or uthan :P not that that is necessarily a 100% good or 100% bad thing, I just think that different cultures have different value sets, and southern usa does have a more religious and strictly moralistic view of life than most of norway (apart from those religious nuts on the west coast of norway :P )
