one 300ws monolight w/ 2x2 softbox on 13 foot stand triggered w/ pocketwizards. I plug in to house power when possible but have a vagabond when needed.

It takes no longer to set up than any other light. It's just a tad heavier that's all. I do want a 2x3 folding softbox to be a tad wider and smaller to transport.

From last November. It's dark by the time the formals roll around in the fall. Bring enough light or be left in the dark.

I use paterson interfit - a 2 light kit w/ stands and all is under $600. Can't do a couple of 580s for that price.
