p.1 #1 · My first wedding as 2nd shooter.

I recently shot my first wedding as a second shooter. Boy did I learn a lot. I worked for free, but was treated to a steak dinner after we were done for the day. My other benefit, other than the experience, was permission to use any of my shot's for my own promotional purposes.

I put together a draft album with my work only, and would appreciate any feedback on how I did, and how I could do better in the future. I obviously missed some must haves as the second as at times he wanted me from alternate vantage points, and other times I needed to stay out of his way while he got the shot's.

I'm looking to more work as a second as I work my way up the ladder.

I'd say the album looks pretty good, but you need to watch out where the gutter will be. On page 3 (I think) and a couple others, the gutter will go right through the middle of the image (some are in the background and not as big a deal, but I'd watch those too).

Thanks for your reply. I'm thinking about moving some of the shot's to avoid the center, but I plan on using an album which allows for this (gutterless?). I haven't physically inspected one of these books, so a little nervous about it.

What software are you using for your album layout? Will that be a finished album, or is it just a slideshow?

The design software is called Album Design, and I got it off the Grary Fong website;Album Design

This program lets you do an album design clients can view via the web. Right now it's a draft, but I'll upload it to Corner Stone for a 10x10 album. Corner Stone
