I think it was Evan or Sam who suggested posting some "teaser" shots in the blog for all shoots, minus bridal shoots. Just wanted to say a quick thanks to you guys because it is working beautifully. Hits to my blog jumped from 80 in May to 255 in June. Thanks for the tip guys!
Google Analytics...great tool. It breaks it down by pages within your site visited, referral sites, the countries where the vistors came from, general hits, and the percentage of visits from the total for each page.
Yet another thing my techy wiz husband did! He's done wonders for our marketing.
Suzi,
I can't believe what he's been able to accomplish. He's a wiz at marketing, but he also built my website (has a new one in the works that looks amazing...he's building me a Blu-style site by scratch) and has a BSBA degree in Computer Information Systems. That covers marketing, branding, business etiquette and practices, website, technology, etc. I've got it made!
He's gotten us a front page ranking on nearly all cities in our county through Google (many are number one and number two), as well as throughout western NC (that part depends on where you search). We live in the foothills, but get about one wedding a year at the beach too. It's pretty cool.

That is so wonderful. I'm really learning that marketing is as or more important that the images themselves, and it's great that people will get the chance to learn about you and see your work.

Of course, a strong set of images is always the first and most important thing...however, once you master that, marketing does become more important in most cases. If not, you're just sitting on some pretty images.
