No. but if you spring for a couple of bucks extra on the processing, you can have a date/time stamp. I have a different quarion: If I use my older Pentax lenses on my Nikon, I get partial data (no lens/exposure data).

I think lefty and y2keg may have put it a little more eloquently than I did. Honestly in doing so you are only cheating yourself. In part this is why I don't enter in the WA. I could probably find entries each week, but what would be the point?
So I'd like to hear your thoughts about whether posting an assignment topic a week prior to the entry period would assist in being able to come up with a unique idea that you can accomplish with in the actual assignment period (still only a week long) and avoid looking at the photos that you have shot and saying 'yeah that fits the theme.'
Like I said earlier that was my first WA i ever entered the other two that i have entered after that I created the shots specifically for the WA and will continue to do so. It was a one time deal.
I'm against EXIF data for several reasons:
- Mosaics, panoramas and stacked astrophotos - when I shoot any of these (and I've entered them into WA's) the EXIF is stripped by programs other than Photoshop which are integral to the image creation process.
- I don't want this site to turn into DPC, with rules on editing etc. I like the flexibility here and it's not been taken advantage of IMO
- What if someone forgets to set the clock on their camera, or didn't realize it was reset?
- Shots that are somewhat weather dependent- sunsets, moon, clouds etc. should have some leniency- i.e. a few days of slop. Obviously we don't want to pull out our portfolio of 10 years and pick what's best (I've seen other contests that totally ignore capture date and it does water down the learning aspect)
l may be too late, but here's an idea I'll throw out:
First round voting: Users vote for their favourite 10 photos. They would have to select exactly 10 (or perhaps a minimum number). Then the top ten or 12 (or what ever) become finalists.

Wait.....Shoot on what now?
Hi everyone.
It seems like most of you (~75%) voted to block images without any EXIF data. Thanks for your participation on this poll.
Yesterday, we made many changes to the WA/MA code. All the changes are now live. The only remaining code implementation will actually be the automation of voting and winners selection.
When you post your entry for the WA/MA you will already see the changes ion the posting form (We are already checking for exif data)
Another improvement was made for Image Upload subscribers. They will have the option to display the EXIF info with their uploaded image(s). (In all boards)
