If using the transmitter's test button to fire a remote camera (using the appropriate cable) will holding down the test button transmit in such a way to mimic if the shutter was held down? Or in other words, can it cause the camera to take 5 (or whatever the camera is capable of shooting) fps or is it one test button depress = one shutter actuation?

CyberSync is not continuous. It will take one picture per transmission. You can fire around eight frames per second if you push the button fast enough.

There's an advantage only because I'm looking at adding two to three more lights to my kit; for the cost of one more PW (I do already have PWs), I could get a small bucket of Cybersyncs.
That being said, I'll stick with PW for now and wait for reports from those who've used Cybersyncs for a while.
For this case you hould be able to mix and match to some degree... I cannot see why a PW(receive) could not be connected to a PCB(xmit) and then on.... I assume it would add some delay but possibly workable.
I am waiting for some more user comments & experience - not falling for that again (flee bay crap triggers) but otherwise Paul might have a virgin customer I am also half looking to move to some studio strobes but will see what the commander stuff will do as in no hurry yet (battery flashes working okay for me inside right now) cauyse might be a nice all round solution.
Could you post a picture of these actually mounted to your camera? preferably a Nikon D300? I'd like to see the size of them while on a camera. Thanks a tonne if you can.

Cool I'll take your word on it Paul. Just a little credit: I've taken my bees absolutely everywhere except underwater, including Dory's Still haven't let me down!
Have you tested the CyberSyncs under temperature extremes?
I can see using the wireless trigger for a remote wildlife setup. I once tried a cheap wireless shutter release that became absolutely worthless in moderately cold weather (just above freezing).

i wonder if these can be internally implanted inside a white lightning 1600?
We don't believe in radio implants. Doesn't allow for future improvements and if the radio fails or needs updating the whole light must be returned.
The upcoming CSR+ and Cyber Commander will make WL do things not ever possible with any system.
