This little guy was hard not to love. We had a particularly hard winter this year with tons of snow and temperatures as low as -40F. The wildlife had a particularly hard time and this guy (gal for all I know) came by frequently and begged. We have aggessive wolf packs and the lower animals on the food chain have been driven closer to man as a consequence. I am not a fan of baiting animals, but in the end we relented and provided some food to tide him over. He would have likely starved without. He/she became affectionately known in our family as "the third dog". Once the winter thaw was well underway, he wisely took his leave.
