Well, THAT was disappointing. I was expecting a big ol Texas size GRASSHOPPER!

Just kidding, I like the capture! Was this thru glass (doesn't look like it)?

Dwight , yes it's through glass, here is the shot before I used the Hickspo disk on it . Three layers of coffee filter and one piece of glass mounted in a 72mm UV filter . I did this at each Glass enclosure , and it sure worked great.

Sure, rub in the fact that you were at the zoo while the rest of us were working... gee thanks.

Cool shot and great example of how well the "Hickspo" works. I'll have to see about making one for myself before my next outing.

Have some fun for me while you're down there.

Ok, why didn't you call me I would have ditched work?

I noticed a number of people wanting an old 72mm filter to modify on the Buy and Sell forum.

How did you do the modification to make the disk? I have some old 72 & 77mm filters I may have to experiment with. How did you come up with the number of layers of coffee filter to use.

The zoo was last min. Hell, I sat in the parking lot for an hour to see if it would slack, and I dicided to go home when i remembered i had an umbrella under the seat. Boy that was fun. Cam in one hand pack on back and unbrella in the other .

The respirator filter is an excellent idea. It looks like it fits perfectly in a 77mm filter.

You indicated above you were using three coffee filters. How many respirator filters did you use in your other demonstration.?

Very cool - now you have done it, a stampede on 77mm broken filters

So the verdict is that the respirator filter is more accurate than the coffee filters?
