Early May. From the wonderful time where I shot the better part of three rolls with a lens that I didn't realize was only able to accurately focus at <1m. Lessons learned (I say until I do the exact same thing at a future point with a future lens). These ones are in focus(ish)!
Is the lens defective? I once bought a Leica 135mm 2.8 Elmarit M - the one w the goggles. I was astonished as to how cheap this lens was - from all sellers. Then when I tried to use it I could see why. What a POS - completely unable to get anything in focus.
And that is why ladies and germs, you can get this lens for $300.

The lens is really quite nice...except that I bought it off of buy n sell only to discover that it does not focus accurately on a rangefinder (beyond one meter). Below one meter, it's fine. I'm not the kinda guy to complain to the seller about a slightly bunk lens (it is phenomenal to use on mirrorless), instead I complained to the manufacturer. They told me to send it to their US service dept. I am awaiting its return. Of course, as I purchased it used, I had to foot the bill for all of this...which, is a given.

Mirrorless cameras really have opened up the usability of so many lenses. It why I switched from DSLR to mirrorless - got tired of trying to fine tune lenses…
Anyway, let us know what that 75mm is like when you get it back.

My first exposure to Leica was age 6 in 1965: my shutterbug aunt's M3 plus Elmarit 135 w/ eyes. I got my own Leica 135mm four decades later as the Tele-Elmar (v1) which has no eyes so you have to focus carefully. Besides the critical focus issue, the inbuilt frameline is pretty dinky, making the entire shooting experience less than satisfying. I do own the external Leitz VF (SHOOC) but that's a different kind of hassle.

Halfway through my 10 shot roll on the new to me Pentax 6x7 I realized I needed a focusing aid. I thought about adapting the Mamiya C3 Chimney, but there is a chain on the Pentax and some tutorials warn about only removing the lens first before the viewfinder, because you can mess up the chain. Instead, I modified a Nikon flip up magnifying eyepiece that has built in an adjustable diopter correction + plus is parafocal. Fixes two problems at once. It really does help.

haha was about to respond to you in the other thread that given you own a 105mm f2.4 it's definitely worth picking up a 6x7 or 67 body. I see that it didn't take you very long to come to that conclusion too
I have a 6x7 MLU with the AE prism finder and it's not the world's best viewfinder by a long shot.. quite dim and a bit difficult to focus with the 55mm f4, the 105mm f2.4 works better though because of the longer focal length and brighter aperture.
Unfortunately it seems there is no easy solution to install a brighter screen..
This was the first time I've shot T-Max 100 (now AKA Ektapan 100) in about 25 years... I used to use XTOL, but I like the results from HC-110 quite a lot. All exposed in a Hasselblad 500C/M on Ektapan 100, developed in 1:63 HC-110, scanned with a Sony A7RIV, converted in Negative Lab Pro, and final curves adjustments in Lightroom.
