p.1 #1 · DIY bare essential lens pouch

DIY bare essential lens pouch & coat

I notice I can't find a bare essential lens pouch.
Well here today I'll show you how to make your own and even a brainstorm to create a new side business of DIY kits....... here we go
( I'm happy just having my own )
The most important item is a new wet suit material with a added twist... having fuzzy sided Velcro on one side and normal neoprene on the other !
I got the 4 m
Second most important item is 1 1/2" hook sided Velcro tape
Third is a exacto knife, scissors and measuring tools
Forth a wiliness to DIY

The formula for pi is radius squared times by 3.14159 for how much material you'll need to wrap the hood or lens and add just a touch more

I tested it with up to 15 lbs and it still held for the lens pouch!

Nice DIY. Where did you find the neoprene with hook loop backing?

One quibble:

"The formula for pi is radius squared times by 3.14159 for how much material you'll need to wrap the hood or lens and add just a touch more"

Actually, the formula for circumference is pi times diameter; pi is 3.14 etc.

With most wet suits you can't walk within 5 feet of a piece of Velcro without it sticking to you.
Any good closed cell neoprene will work, the heavier the better.. do a Google search.

Now that it's wrapped, what do you do with it? Can it hang off of a belt, or do you stick it into another bag? If you stick it into another bag, won't the included slip case do?

You can easily hang another piece of Velcro tape to make a belt loop
I made mine for light tranport because there's no one doing this and not at my lost cost.

Your welcome
