What is the area where the RT's might have caught the snake ie, state,city, forest, park etc. Thank you, Gene. They hunt in a mixed area of homes and business parks with a golf course very close by they seem to concentrate their efforts over. The snakes likely come from the sage scrub in the open areas.

Steve Thank you, Steve. Once they've layed there eggs. they are protected, so if they return ever tell the building owners. These hawks had their nest removed the 1st year but were persistent and rebuilt right away and we were able to stop them from removing the 2nd nest. Now the owners are incredibly proud of "their" hawks and block off a section of the parking area below the nest to accomadate them and keep the cars clean as well.
