Canon often let's us down, but I think starting with the 40D and then 450D they are slowly getting the message about features and the 5D replacement will be a much better camera in many areas. AF and speed are the biggies, so far every model from the 1D III foreward has had updated AF, the 5D won't miss out, but I hope it goes beyond the 40D....Show more →
A different Canon rep was asked of the 5D replacement several months ago and responded why? the 5D has no competition why update it? True then and true today. Maybe the Sony will put some pressure on Canon and we will get an update time will tell but I don't think Canon is in any hurry.
