I want to get a set of focusing rails. I have no idea what I'm looking for but quickly realized they can get expensive.
Here's what I'd like to find. One that's compatible with Bogen Tripods, possibly fitted with quick release, maybe mounted on a ball head, and under $300ish.
Novatron makes a nice one, Bogen makes one but I've read questionable reviews, RRS and Kirk makes some but they are pricey, and beyond that I have no idea what I'm looking at. Unfortunately none of the two camera stores in Birmingham have any and one shop even said they stopped making them (Wolf).
