I don't understand this thread. I suppose it may be applicable to the critique forums which I avoid.
However, I am annoyed by people starting threads in the gear forums with irrelevant photos and no technical equipment questions for justification. Basically it is it making the statement that "I toook a pretty picture with my Nikon or Canon body and xxx lens that looks great processed as a jpeg at 1000 pixels wide." It's an answer to a question that nobody asked.
In another forum I once posted a scan of a K64 slide taken in 1982 with a 55/2.8 micro-Nikkor on a Nikkormat EL/w. People wanted to know what great digital camera I was using and how I achieved that look.
If you disagree with an agree-er is it the same as agreeing with a disagree-er and does the agree-ee or disagree-ee in either case feel obligated to agree or disagree with the agree-er or disagree-er.
