p.1 #1 · what kind of birdfeeder?

What brand of birdfeeder do you prefer? My yard isn't that big and we want to get rid of my pole mounted one and hang one from a tree branch. This means my good buddies the squirrels will have no problem getting to it. I'd like to get a "squirrel proof" feeder but there are tons of them out there. Some of them look pretty good but some look pretty crappy

Any recommendations?

Thanks,

Dennis

Here are several bird feeders that seem to be pretty decent.

And here I even provide special feeders to make my squirrels more comfortable.

Considering that I got blaster last night & this morning on another board by someone who really dislikes squirrels in a thread with my local squirrels......

Ah, the ideal one would be self refilling... and built like a tank to raccoon proof it.

I have these metal screened, round feeders with a copper top for easy filling. I gave up on trying to keep the squirrels and raccoon out... now I just make it easy for them so that they don't destroy the feeders trying to pilfer them (consider it a 'cost of doing business). They look nice too.

They used to steal them and pull them out into the woods and I had to go retrieve them... now I use these spring loaded mountain climbers (key chain) rings you can get a Lowes . So far they haven't figured those out... get the big ones and hang the feeder from it.

Has anybody seen my suit feeder... it's been gone for a few days now.

Paint ball shooters are excellent at keeping the tree rats at bay.
