Leave it to Nello to be staring at a "CHICKS BUTT"
Doug, these are great, I kinda like the concrete as a bkg. looks neat with the bokeh. I also like how you can see the tooth on the beak. Great job, and your usual funny looking subject matter.
Thanks Chad. When I titled this post, I figured Nello would have to jump in with something like that. As for my subject matter....ehhhh, I'll address that at another time.

Doug...excellent series! I love chasing these little guys around trying to get shots. The young ones are adorable. Great shots as always!

Very nice series Doug. I was just on vacation and there was a kildeer nesting in our rental home in the driveway with 4 eggs. Wish I could have seen those chicks hatch.

Thanks J, they should come back to the same spot next, just time your vacation a little later.
Heck Doug, I thought these kildeer just hatched into adults, had no idea they were ever chicks I can remeber seeing eggs and the parents and never ever seeing a chick, cool fun shots. That chick has got some sweet legs and a great bobble head
Great images. Brings back many memories as my Brother and I would see these by the hundreds as kids in Kansas many years ago. Killdeer seem to nest everywhere and anywhere. Somehow they defy the odds.
