Or is it an obsession?

Welcome Neil! I really like this shot, the ball hanging between them is a neat catch. I have to wonder if it might not benefit from a tighter crop, the foliage above is a little distracting to me. The shapes in the background make a really interesting frame for the subjects. Nice job!

Appreciate your comments, Tamara, thanks!

Yes, I pondered the very same alternatives. The image is already cropped about 25%. When I experimented with a tighter crop I found the figures were too centered and the image lost some interest as a result. I settled for the current crop as a compromise.

Had I known the guys I would of course have gotten closer and taken more shots, but as this was shot on the fly passing a mall I had to be content on this occasion with what I could get!

Thanks, FJR1.

Yes, I like the silhouette look also.

The lights in the pavement remind me of theater footlights, and with the lighting behind, the action could be on a stage, or a ballet. A dramatised ritual, in fact.

I like this shot. I'd have probably cropped out the footlight in the bottom foreground, but I like the foliage in the shot actually.

Very good to get your comment, Beverly, thanks!

I played around with different crops. The reason I left the foreground light in is because to me it connects the bottom portion of the image with what is behind and helps to create a more three dimensional area for the action of the figures to take place in.

Hi Neil,

I like your choice of silhouettes in this shot. I does give it a universal sort of feeling. Good luck this week.
