Karl, how could you photograph Dave’s Green Heron without his permission? Great set Karl. My favorites are #5, #7 and #11.
Jude
Jude, I was thinking the whole time that Dave sent this guy over to me as a gift I think a I saw markings on the inside of its leg that said 'property of Dave in LA' Thanks for humor and nice comments!

Very nice set, Karl, made more interesting by you commentay. Excellent job with that combo getting very good exposures and sharp detail. Good lighting and natural looking colors as well. The last shot is my favorite.
Socrate
Socrate, glad you enjoyed the commentary, I hoped it wasn't too lengthy. It is amazing how much flowed through my mind as I shot and processed these all relating to friends here on the forum, a great deal of the results are from a great deal of input from here, thanks buddy

You are getting alot of great shots of these guys Karl... #10 is my pick. Well done.
I appreciate that Shelley very much
wow, you had a tough shoot in all those tangles, but I sent you a good GH. He is trained to be patient while you take his picture. You can have him for one more week(maybe 2), then he comes back to La.

Lucky Guy Karl Well Done. Ed
Thanks Ed, a friend of mine once said, 'better to be lucky than good' Seems a combination of both would be most helpful

Thanks Dave, he was a superstar for me. If I knew I only had two weeks I would have taken vaction for at least one of them Well, maybe I will take the second week to bring him back personally to you, thanks for the look and sharing your Heron with me

Congrats on filling the frame with these ones Karl.
I'll take #5 for the awkward stance, #7 for the sneakyness and #10 for that eye. But really they are all enjoyable.
Appreciated Josh, hoping for many more opportunities to get these guys, neat bird. Glad a few appealed to you.
