Anthony --
Congratulations!! and many happy returns on the Forum.
You have to remember to give back what you've taken
I don't recall your first post and first image from a year ago. But I agree with you that your images are very fine these days. You and only you can atest to this.
The 2000th post features very fine photography again. There are minor glitches (not in PP - in composition - eg. I wish the wing wasn't clipped in my favourite shot #5) but they're nothing. Great images. Great skills.
Keep it coming, and congrats again, mate!
-mirek
Thanks Mirek. I like to think I give back on a daily basis. I always try to give some of the newer members (Of which I'm on of) Comments that might improve their photos.
It's kind of a touchy subject though > Some people don't take suggestions well
Sorry about capture 5. Yes I clipped one of the wings, but really liked the capture so decided to clip equally on both sides. Still had to post it as it was one of my favorite captures too.
Anthony, you lucky Bast@&d you , now were even Oh the egrets at last I waited day's to see these darn things, I bugged you with PM's I sent emails, heck I was just about ready to send a love mail (in Spanish) just to beg some more Wonderful job on the whites, and the comps and eye contact/focal point are perfect, Did you use HTP? If not, you should give it a whirl on these white birds, I feel it underexposes about 1/3 to 2/3 from the meter, but also does a amazing job on the feather detail. Congrats on your 2k post, I passed 3k just a few back and just realized it ...Show more →
I knew something was coming back at me from your direction > I just wasn't sure what . Don't send those PM's / emails in Spanish > I refuse to learn a second language here in the U.S.A. If I decide to go live in someone elses country I'll learn their language then I always have HTP "ON" It slows the write speed down a bit > But it sure saves Whites on the Egrets. Sorry you missed your 3K, but at your age your lucky to remember to put your pants on in the morning
I was holding these back to keep you in suspense. Looks like it worked
SueMcc, Congrats, and a super set!!! Terrific in-flight shots, and I love the peekaboo BCNH. See you at Elkhorn Slough!

Great job on all of these Anthony. For only being on this forum for 1 year, your pics are fantastic. It would be interesting if we could see the first post.

Terry D, Worthy ...and then some. You younger guys have this BIF thing down! I find, just when I can afford a 500mm, I can't pick it up any more
You've done a fine job on these Anthony... and you sense of humor has rubbed off on us all
Congrats..... T
Thanks Terry I can't hide my Ill sense of humor !! Nice to know I don't rub everyone the wrong way . I don't know about us young guys, but you old guys really know Flora Just kidding Terry > You do fantastic no matter what you photograph.
Tim, Ah congrats my friend!! It has been wonderful talking, emailing, pm'ing and commenting with you. Nice job on the egrets, one of the birds I wish we had here. As nice as the egrets are I like the heron in the tree the best. The RWBB is very well done also.
Hmm, your first post. Maybe that could be a thread we should start! It may be interesting.
Tim
I've had a lot of fun chattin with ya my friend. I wonder how many people have the pic from their first post. I bet if I dig through my hard drive I could find some much earlier posts........... could be fun
Thanks buddy and look forward to many more years and watchin each others photography grow
Wacky Roger, YUP!!! no question in my mind they be worthy.
Thanks Roger > So nice of you to say, from a man of few words I appreciate it Mr Roger.
Nello, Hey Anthony been keepin' the goodies stacked away for this 1 huh?

Hey Raymond. Thanks so much for the comment. I do try to give back, as this forum has treated my so well over the past year. I enjoy passing along what little I know
Thanks for noticing and I hope to see many more of your posts
Lil Judd, Definitely worthy of a 200oth post Anthony.
Congratulations to these shots, the 2000th & many more....
I just checked - - I'm past 2500 & I had no idea......
Thanks Lil and glad you think they were worthy........ I was second guessing my PP quite a bit. So it means a lot that they have been enjoyed and liked so far.
Heck we'll have to have a big party for your 3000 to make up for that
Congrats, Anthony. You've been a great asset to this forum, and I have enjoyed your posts as well as you sense of humor. These are excellent shots. You've gone a long way sinse last year. Well done.
Socrate
Thanks so much my good friend Socrate !! I appreciate your comments more than you know. You've helped me a lot over the past few months and answered many emails and PM's from me. I appreciate your help, patients, and knowledge. Thanks so much for you willingness to share and help others.
Anthony, Good for you -- looking forward to the next 2000! I haven't been able to check the forum for the last couple of months on a regular basis but I am glad I found time today - I able to see your super set. All great! Steve W
I'm so glad you checked in Steve. Your absence was noticed and I was wondering what you've been up to. I figured some trip taking exotic photographs of something
Thanks Steve and hope to see your posts soon.
Mark Fadely, Congrats Anthony! Great series of a difficult to expose bird. It's also pretty cool to think you have improved that much with the help of FM. I feel the same way.
Thanks Mark and I do feel that way > And I'm glad you do too. It is a great forum and there are so many out there willing to share what they know. I feel blessed to be here surrounded by such amazing photographers that raise the bar constantly.
billk55, Happy 2000th! I don't get to say often, many of my friends barely make it to 1000 years.
Number 4 is a killer for me - it kind of empitomizes the sleek animal I'd like to become
Really, they're all very nice. Muchos kudos.
funny Bill I see where Tim gets it from now....... Or is it the other way around
Thanks Bill and glad you liked em.
#4 is totally awesome. I also like the amount of detail in the face and feathers of the red-winged black bird, its a real challenge to shoot those guys.
Time flies when your having fun, doesn't it? Although if you hit 2000 in one year, I must be slacking. I still haven't hit that in two years! Congrats and here's to the next 2000
