Strad Offline Image Upload: On p.1 #1 · # 293 Mountebank This is an old metal child's savings bank. The"Magician Bank" would work by the child putting the coin to be saved on the little round part of the magician's table. By pulling a lever, the magician would cover the coin with his hat. Simultaneously, the little trap would open and the coin would slide down the red chute at the back of the table, into the magician's leg's and then into the coin storage. Releasing the lever would raise the magician's arms and "Voila!" - the coin would have disappeared! I don't know it this is exactly "retro' or not but it certainly is cute. May 05, 2008 at 08:58 AM
