Here are a few more from my trip to northern California. Canon 5D, Canon EF 17-40mm f4.0 L.
I am a bit iffy on the last one in this series. It was getting pretty late and and the auto WB was probably getting confused. I decided to embrace it instead of change it -- let me know what you think.
Gorgeous series, Daniel. For me, the colors match the mood in all of them. Even in the last one. I might want to try a vertical crop on the last to get the breach in the clouds off-center.
I like the first and the last the best. The placement of the boulder in the last really adds a lot of interest to the shot. Nice work. The color in the last suits the image just fine for me. Colors do seem to get weird the later it gets.
All 3 are very well done. I can't pick a favorite. I like the compositions, choice of shutter speeds, and the cool tone of #3 as well. I think 3 would also work well in B&W.
I love the inclusions in the rocks in the third, as well as the squall in the BG...the color may be off, but it's not so far off as to be unacceptable: David (Icypeak) is on to something with suggesting BW. Dave
#2 and #3 are stunning !! Really beautiful and the color shift in the 3rd works in some bizarre way. Another area of the West coast I have not seen but now it's on the list !!!
