Handheld (somehow) 1/3, f2.8, ISO 200, heavy black adjustment via levels (didn't originally intend it), some burning (no pun intended ), a little sharpening, and that's pretty much it....thought I had missed the deadline when I thought up the idea....oh and laying those matchsticks in that order took a lot of annoying work, though you can't see what it looked like below the 4

I like this use of the shallow DOF really well. Very nice!

Crias, thank you very much!

Tazo, I sure hope I do! ....actually it was lit by my ceiling fan (currently with two bulbs facing the opposite side of the room from where I shot), but I used a custom white balance set to a receipt on my desk so it was fairly accurate....after that I shot about 55 shots until I felt I had a good version in the last two shots. I reviewed the 55 and found I was correct about the last two shots. Then I leveled it in Photoshop with mostly the black slider....I adjusted the grey just a little but not much, I believe I left the white unchanged...then I burned out a little bit of specks, cropped and was complete....I adjusted the size in graphic converter which I used to use to save my images smaller but then I noticed that I accidently saved a lot of stuff with my photoshop prefs incorrectly set and realized it actually saves smaller and with truer color as I saw it in photoshop...this one is actually the second one...if you haven't seen this post you haven't seen the photoshop saved version. Sorry my reply was detailed but not very good in the interest of lighting...

Ummm....I love you too, you guys will have to pardon my gf...she's a bit silly

last edit:
Regardless of you being silly, I love you! I'm sorry that I didn't originally know how to deal with your comment on my picture. Nothing in this world is as important to me as you and so to everyone who visits this page I give you my girlfriend, Cristina (hazyPotato). She'll hopefully join us in our picture taking splendor. She's usually very supportive of my work and of me. She's one of a kind fellas, and if you find one like her don't let go. I have, and those are some of the moments of deepest regret in my life, but thankfully she's taken me back
