G-EOS adapter latest status? | |
There are definitely a few differences between me and Amazon . . . they have a teams of hundreds to reply to emails. Actually, it still takes them several days to get back to you. I've got me.
I also run our family business, design for advertising agencies and my own clients, do about 15 hours a week voluntary work – plus photography. So time spent developing adaptors and scribbling for 16:9 is very much a 'back-burner' project. Having said all that, the problem in getting the adaptors out hasn't been about my time so much as problems liaising with China. However, the adaptors are now working well and are shipping in batches.
I will update the web page with shipping status news every few days, and I've sent several emails to every buyer explaining the delay.
I really do appreciate how frustrating it is to have something so 'exciting' delayed but until this product is copied in the Far East, it's the only way for Canon users to get our hands on the lens. For me, it's been worth waiting for; I hope you feel the same way! If you don't – money back, no questions asked.
The lever version is being developed in collaboration with SRB Griturn in England. They have already produced a prototype demonstrating the feasibility of the plan, but – again – because it's a small project for them, progress is very, very sluggish. Ironically, I have little 'leverage' with which to rush them. If anyone would like to speed things along, by all means contact them to let them know that there is a demand for it . . . .
