Hi all! My first event on my own. Shot with 80-200, 18-200 and 10.5 with 2 D200s. Lack of 1.8 and 1.4 glass was obvious in end result. Frankly I would like to have the seasoned pros offer criticism and suggestions for the next one. Also, what lens do Nikonians suggest I get first? I am keeping in mind FX so I am not buying more DX lens.
Most of the photos you posted don't seem to show. And I went to your link but only found 6 images...
4186: The angle makes the groom look like he's got a huge belly.
4202: Nice moment, thebalcks are too blocked up and the whites too burned out for my liking.
4213a: The bride looks so small... maybe crop in a bit tighter and lighten overall.
4238: I don't know about this one... it just looks weird. Why do you like it?
4252: When people look down, it increases double chins. When you have to do the "flower pinning" thing, get them to look at each other and engage them. It's definately too dark.
4270: The angle is too extreme for my tastes... the fellow on the left is really distorted.
I haven't seen enough from this shoot to really know where you are at in your skill level. The shots do seem too dark and heavy. Can you try fixing the links to the images?
