Thought for once I would post early in case I need to re-shoot. Every artist understands the simplicity of three colors to ultimately create very complex masterpieces. C&C welcome as it only makes me better. Thanks for looking.

Looks good. I'd probably clone out the other than yellow color on the tip of the yellow crayon. Possibly try different angles on the crayons--I like what you've got though. The DoF is spot on.

Great entry,

Chad,
Thanks for looking. That spot has been bothering me as well. Glad I got it in early for some comments.
The pic's alright, but maybe it doesn't really fit your title.
There're simpler tools, such as a pencil. So maybe you have
to work a bit on the concept.
As an artist I can appreciate how simple these things are! Nice colorful image. IMHO I don't think you need so much foreground; a crop would put greater emphasis on the crayons (making them 2/3 of the image).

Beverly,
Thanks. I went back and forth on the crop for some time. I was more concerned with the crayon tips being centered as they are, but didn't find the closer crop as nice. I appreciate the comments. I am glad you liked it.

I really like the concept and composition a lot. The depth of field might be a little too shallow though. A stop or two down on aperture might help it. Just a thought.
