Well, went over the hill this afternoon with my little Vivitar Macro Ringlight and the D3 with 60mm Micro Nikkor looking for signs of LIFE. Well, it has begun... the new growth is poking up through the detritus on the forest floor. If we get a few days of generous sunlight there should be flowers by the end of this week. FINALLY!
Hope you like em.

Spring is the best time of year for sure! I really like #3 - it just screams that spring has begun. Here in Florida my wifes tomatoes are over 3 feet tall now

Wow... it will be about 4 months until I see 3 foot high tomato plants I was really surprised how much was happening... we do still have ponds with ice on them and huge piles of snow from the last blast. I hope this is the turnaround.
Hi T
You were out taking pictures and I spent the day raking out the flower beds to get these little goodies all the sun I could. Yes, there is quite a bit poking up through, perhaps that warm rain tomorrow will help.
Nice shots, rewarding to plop down on the ground again isn't it

Wow Terry1 Those are exactly the kind of macro shots I'd love to be able to take. You give me inspiration to keep trying! Amazing work!
Very kind of you Natalia. With the quality of your bird shots, I'm quite sure any time you decide to shoot macro shots you'll do a great job ( and I can't wait to see them)
