p.1 #1 · Crop of Bees?

I am just looking for a little feedback on a recent shot.

Is this shot interesing enough even without the bee's head showing?

Which of the two crops is more interesting?

Thanks

I prefer the second crop. Much better if you can get the head in, either directly, or alongside the length of the bee.
At 55 mm, you were already a might close, and have done quite well with the capture. I've had the best luck in fall as the weather cools, the bees slow, and there is still color in the garden.

The second works better. Also try cropping the bee at the top left of image to put the bee in the horizon of a field of flowers (sorta). I think that may work better with the backside of the bee showing.

Hmm... the blur in the second photo appears to be showing some grain, however, I do like the crop better.
