Lovely images. Tony, flickers are one of the birds that just look soft sometimes. The feathers must be real fine. One of my favorite birds.

Great shots of a very beautiful bird, I love the markings on these. I was going to comment on #2 neading some contrast but I read your shooting situation and that expains it. I like the natural setting in the first and think the 4th is outstanding.

Very nice. I saw one of these today, the first I've seen in many months. He had mud on his beak. I was told they eat ants, and he was probably digging for them.
