p.1 #1 · Architecture (Distortion -Software?)

Those who shoot architecture digitally, what do you use to correct barrel distortion and pin-cushion affects? Are there any free pieces of software out there worth using? Any PS plugins?

Secondly, a related question - what do you use to defish a fisheye shot? Tried DeFish software, but didn't seem very intuitive.

Its PC only i think, and its not quite free but its very good. Corrects barrel/pincushion, fisheye as well as perspective and CA.

I use ImageTrends Defish software. It is very good for people but leave will curved horizontal lines which are obvious in architectural images. Any wide angle lens will distort so it's just a question of the type of distortion. Basically you are doomed to "projection" distortion when you try to use 2 dimensions to map 3 dimensions. The wide you go the worse it gets.
