p.2 #1 · D300 DK-17m Modification

Focussing via Live View is one of the main reasons I picked up a D300 (and dropped a lot of things to do so). So far, totally, unquestionably worth it. This is going to help my flower shots /critical focussing immeasurably as each of my macro lenses is MF. I can't wait for Spring.

Well I finally got around to doing this. Well worth the time and expense. The only thing I would add is that once you have it all together in a satisfactory manner is to epoxy the parts together, this will prevent any accidental knock offs

or you could use the right bits which were for the fe/ fm camreas. works on my d200 well but not like the d2 eye cup were you can carry the camera by the eye cup.

Jon, have you found this modification to be a significant improvement for manual focusing?

I have indeed, I like shooting flowers, and macro in general. There is a noticeable difference, pollen and bugs eyes are much sharper. The cup itself tends to make things better as well, less light leaking in.
