I'm seeing some pixelation in the darker areas of the sky and vignetting in the upper corners.
To me, the ship is flat and could really use some L&C. Also, I think cropping out some sky as well as water for more of a landscape aspect might be advantageous. The Flickr thumbnail gives a better image to judge composition, IMO, than the post - too tall and scrolling ruins the effect.
It would really be nice to have the Exif included...does Flickr strip this out?

Bob
Here is a version with capture sharpening & levels applied - probably something can be done to prevent the moon from looking like a white BB I didn't crop. Oh, and NR applied using Neat Image Pro.
<EDIT> Nevermind, looks like it's Flikr also. Picasa says it's f/3, 1/350th, 6mm (must be the physical length, not effective focal length) No ISO info.
This image was taken with my old P&S, vignetting is probably caused by its poor lens. Pixelation could be the camera or could be my own attempts to adjust the image.
I agree that the ship could use some work, I masked it out of the original and brightened it up a bit, maybe I could do some more. My PS (or rather GimpShop) skills are a still a bit basic, trying to improve there.
Your version is a bit much for me, the moon ends up a white dot and the whole image loses some of the calm, late evening feel.
Also, here's a smaller image for critiques on composition. I originally left the sky and water in because I enjoyed the negative space... maybe unneeded.
I find the smaller easier also... makes the neg space a bit easier to appreciate. But the last image I posted at that size I got lots of complaints about being too small
Sydney's nice, this is on the Harbor cruise to Manly, NSW (I can't mention that name without grinning just a touch).
I think the ship needs some brightening up still... I'll play around with that.
