What's the % off using NAPP discount from Apple? I'm curious to know if it's better than my educational discount (which negates sales tax for me, so I buy from amazon.com).

Mac Pro Base model Reg $2799 -> with NAPP discount $2575

Hope it helps,

Amazon.com has the 24" base iMac for $1794 with a rebate of $100. If you have Amazon Prime, then free shipping. I received my rebate about 5 weeks later.

Well I'm trying to give mac's a fair run but...

I've had to put up with update downloads almost every week for the past year.

Both of my mac's tend to lock up 2-4 times a week (not a total restart but multiple forced quit episodes).

Performance is POOR on both my MAC MINI and 24" IMAC...good for small tasks but nothing more. I find the performance on my 3 year old dell laptop to be about the same as my 24" IMAC.

However, I really like the flow of the mac operating system. I just need to get a new MAC PRO...

iMac 24" is not PVA, all 24 iMacs is S-iPS, ALU iMacs use LG.Philips LM240WU2-SLB1, S-IPS, 8-bit

Might be worth looking at the refurbished Mac Pro's at the online Apple Store. They come with a full warranty and you can really save some $$'s. I picked one up last year and am very pleased with it. I've used Mac's for about 20 years now & can say it was no different from buying a new non-refurb model.

I just color corrected a wedding invitation for a couple on my new iMac 24" and when I got it back it had a green cast to it even though it looked great on my screen. I used a EyeOne Display 2 to calibrate it. Can I send the file to anyone with good color monitors to check my file or see if it was the printer?
