I agree with everyone's comments, Mark! Gret shot! However, (Leave it to me to be the one with the niggling little critique. I hope you don't mind! ) The black figures right in front of the Cathedral dome distract me. To my eyes, they aren't close enough to the camera to be easiily discernable as people walking so they just appear to be VERY dark splotches that obscure the main focus of the shot - the Cathedral. Perhaps they aren't so stark in a larger version but here it took me a long time to figure out what they were, although I noticed them instantly when I looked at the shot. Anyway, that's the only little flaw I see in an otherwise fantastic shot.

Feel free to niggle all you want
I took a couple of shots yesterday with people, without people, people close , well you know what i mean. People any closer destroyed the symmetry as they broke the horizon line. With no people, the question was asked, was it infact a sidewalk or something else. This seemed to be the best compromise for composition. I also liked the way they seem to frame St Pauls in the background making the cathedral stand out even more. It does work better in a larger format and that was my biggest worry last night when posting it.
Please continue to niggle as it is the only way i will get better.
I have to admit there was no time when i had no people as this bridge is used by thousands each day. Maybe i will return one early morning in the summer and try again.
Take care and thankyou
Mark

Awesome shot, I love the mood. The wide-angle view, ominous clouds, and perfectly symmetrical composition all work together to create this great shot.
A fabulous entry,

Thanks Chad,
I was pleased with the result but must learn proper b & w conversion as all i did was convert to greyscale last night.
Take care and good luck
