May I ask where were you exactly when you took this one?
If the answer is in another aircraft, how is it possible? Are you in the army?
or have you a slightly more expensive hobby than photography
if I tell you - I will have to kill you
I took that shot stood on a mountainside waiting and hoping that I would be lucky enough to get a military jet passing by - and obviously hoping that it would come close enough
as you see I got Lucky
must add that I do actually shoot air to airs as well
sorry to the original poster for hijacking his thread, I will be a good boy from now on
cheers Chris
This shot is a brilliant example of the Prantl Glaurt Singularity for those of you who are interested in aerospace. Basically transonic flow over the wing causes steep temperature gradients and results in the condensation of water in the air.

No matter how many times I see that pic, Chris, it blows me away.
It proves the old "f/8 and be there" axiom, doesnt it?
f8 and duck!
That's one of the coolest shots I seen as well, one of those "how did he get that?" types.
Someone above asked why do we really need to post shots from the 300 (or any lens) again. All of the shots on this thread are certainly a good reason in my mind!
