Have no idea what I could have done to minimize the shadows. I think they detract. Opinons??

Use your built in flash to eliminate shadow and get in closer. The plastic and shed on the side is distracting anyway.

Post processing try shadows/highlights to get detail out of the shadow.

I would frame closer for the picture. See below.

i actually like the original framing better, but i like the fact that scott's crop cuts out that white fluffy stuff on the right hand side of the frame - because it's big and bright my eye gets drawn there and becuase i can't immediately identify what it is, it holds my concentration for a while while my mind tries to figure it out

however, i feel like the second framing is too square - i like my rule of thirds =]

great shot though, i actually don't feel like the shadows detract at all

Thanks for the input. The snow may be less distracting in this pix. I made the orange car straight and the eye seems to ignore snow better. Have no idea why these cars are so bright. It sure isn't Photoshop.
